I think people don't understand how BIG the us is, and how a tsunami would have to be wipe out the entire continent in order to wipe out the US.

That being said, it could wipe out a city or two, but nothing more. Japan is an ISLAND so tsunami's have a lot worse effect on it.

"“Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you—even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers, and triumphs over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world. So none of this is happening. Such things could not occur. Never a word of it is literally true.” .”

Yeah I read online about that. There is a fault on the east coast that is not like the one next to California, but it moves very slowly. This can create enough energy to wipe out up to Tennessee. But I don't see it being able to wipe out the entire continent.

Shit happens what are you gunna do? The only thing is readiness to move away from the area.

You obviously have no clue on the geographical location of Tenesse.

Let me explain this. Cali is as big as Japan. Japan is not entirely destroyed either, majority of it is still ok.

What I meant is that the Tsunami is coming from the east. I read on the internet that the fault is pretty big and could create enough energy to destroy almost the entire east coast. I was comparing the faults on the west coast and east coast.

:/ japans was like 8.9 or something.

If it destroyed the entire east coast it would be something around 30-40 if i'm going by ratio.

:/ those shows/articles only play into your own paranoia.

If that did happen, and it was a 30-40, you couldn't do anything to stop it anyway. UNless you build a huuuuuuuuuuuuge wall which won't happen for obvious reasons.

Fail, you have no clue how the Richter scale works.

If it was 30-40, which is impossible, we would have no planet left, as it would be 1x10^45 J, 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more powerful than the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs and almost all land life on earth. A huge wall would accomplish nothing.

:/ then you get my point. It would have to be around 3-4 times as much in order to wipe out the us to a substantial degree. Chances of that......are very low.

Your point they we could build a huge wall to save ourself from an tsunami or...?

Also, this is not how plate tectonics work.

    English????

My point was that you couldn't stop such a thing anyways.

    Probably due to your illiteracy.
