    New Sig.

I concentrated mostly on lighting on this one. Thoughts?

If you think it is bad, please don't just say "It's bad." Offer some constructive critism please. Thanks!

lighting what lighting? you added a light source thats it
for lighting you need the light source and that light source need to affect the rest of the sig ot also need to be subtle yet obvious where the light is coming from

I know, I tried to focus the light on the squirrels face and his acorn. Guess it didn't work

For starters just use Render>Lighting effects. I will do the shading and lighting for you, and it still looks good.

Lighting requires a light source, that is effectively shining on/towards the focal or wherever. I used to do this by simply getting a large soft brush and brushing the edge of the signature wherever I felt looked well for a lighting source and then applying a motion blur filter in the correct direction. I would put that layer on screen. Then you need to use a white soft brush and brush the areas in which the image would be brighter, and use a black soft brush and brush the areas in which the image would be darker (Highlights and shadows).

Also, work on your blending. You have a blue background with a brown focal. Try working with some gradient maps. If you just want to change the color of one layer, lets say the focal; make a blue-white gradient map and put it as a clipping mask for your focal and then mess with the layer styles.

Also, please try to stick to solid boarders if any; they look so much more professional.

    adding ^^^^
you could also use the dodge tool if you want but its not as adjustable if you dont like it
for the colors you could use a selective color adjustment or a match color adjustment and play with the settings
