I actually think I did a good job at this...

I can't believe I actually did something I'm proud of doing.
    Hope you like it.

    You're totally jelly, amirite?
I was trying to smudge non-stop, but I didn't know how so I just put some paint in with brush and then blurred it so that it doesn't look like complete crap.
BTW, the red line looks like magma which I totally wasn't aiming for..

Remove the random line you have infront of the render.
lower the opacity of the glow around him.
    Work on the background more.
    Work on the text more.

    4/10

Not blennding with background, text is meh but the worst point is definitely the bevel/emboss. I just now realised how ugly it is, cuz i used to do it on my sigs. Gee, from this point of view, it really messes with the sig. 5/10.

Look..The key to decent smudging is your strength percentage, and technique.
You don't want to just take your mouse and smear a straight line across your canvas..
that just makes the smudge way too smooth.
You need to use small controlled actions, go really slowly when you smudge..
almost like the same wrist action if you were erasing something with a pencil..
just short controlled strokes. You want your smudge strength to be set to at least 80-85%
This will give you more depth, and a much more solid look.

Well i have to say pretty much the same thing.
    Remove random line there.
    Work on background a bit.
Glow is nice but a bit less Opacity would make it work better.
Try to find a color that mixes will with the render.
    5/10
Edit : Didn't notice text until i looked up close... Well to tell you the truth. It sucks... sorry for sounding so hard but try to play around with fonts and effects on the font until you find something that mixes well. Other than that i will stay with my 5/10.

Experimenting is fun, but it will only do any good once you master some basic techniques.
    So yea, read tutorials.
