Hey, this is my first Background i made in photoshop
Did make a signature and a logo before, thats all the experience i got with photoshop

Needs a bit of work, but for a first background it's pretty good. I'd suggest downloading a brush pack, some layer style psd's (not often suggested but comes in handy) and playing with filters, and stuff like pen tool

Pretty nice, but I dislike the Assassins creed font/look.

I would've made it White, Birth of Hero, and then let it overlay or dissolve or any other layer option that works, maybe add some outside blur/drop shadow.

Use a different font, somewhat like the font used originally get rid of the outline and inner shadow but keep the layer mask to make it fit better with the image and also change the position to be more where the water is, like right inside where the water is.

I will, but then the text overlays the assassin. 'Won't it be too busy on that side then?

something like that but with your text, i know text can be hard because it has to complement everything else and even now i have a hard time with it thats why i don't use a whole lot of text
