    prevent viruses from the start

    The home of Spybot-S&D!

this is the link to Spyware search and destroy.

its free and in many langauges....updates definitions..cleans adware, spyware, trojans....etc

also go to McAfee - Antivirus Software and Intrusion Prevention Solutions

to install their site advisor for firefox and MS internet explorer
this will make your hack downloading a little safer for you

and be aware of very odd small file sizes you never know......

also anyone that has anygood link to LEGIT scanners should share and post the links.

I don't use an anti virus program or a firewall. Never needed them, every 4 months or so I will install avg and do a scan then when it's done I remove it. 90% of the time it comes up clean. But I also don't go around downloading games that are 2kb and browsing porn sites. But I also Am a computer tech for a local isp so obviously if my comp craps out i can fix it no problem.

can u get back the possiable theft of info though by rootkit keyloggers though that evade deletion certain sites can seem harmless but be a attack site........and let me take a guess who u work for....charter...or att....hmmm
but yeah makes sense to protect your self anyways whois check could be in order for sites and the person that uploads to u

anyways doin that clogs the registry when u install / uninstall like that.... stuff like that sometimes can not be fixed by registry cleaner/ defrag of the registry

Does anyone have some actual stats about which free anti-virus/anti-spam is the best? I'd be interested in seeing that.

Well I can tell you one thing. If you are going to pay for an AV program, Do not buy Norton or Mcafee. They are both pretty lame IMO. I'm not sure how everyone else feels about em.

u know what we should have a anti virus forum: to have black listed hacks posted that have been found to be keyloggers and etc...
so mpgh can say: oh well don't bitch u should took precaution when u should've checked in there for that games black listed hacks...forum of shame for hacks that are shit

or just have a antivirus forum plain simple to talk bout them and let ppl know of updates and such
