    Update

Ok Did a quick comparison and it looks the header of the file has an extra 0x44 bytes in it, with what looks some kind of Checksum value (probably to determine whether or not the Rez file has been tampered with). Everything else is the same as the old rez file structure

Extracting these will be a breeze and if I can find some time over the weekend I should be able to modify my old winrez code to do this. (i'd do it now but am at work and don't feel like rewriting everything from scratch).

Re-creating the rez is going to take a little more time since i'll have to decypher what's actually in those 0x44 bytes, however, if this is like any other LithTech game, if you simply have your files 'un-rezzed' in the game folder it'll work anyway.

Well , got bored at work so banged something out really quick using some old code I had laying around (hence the crap UI etc). Figured you guys would want to see something working over pretty buttons.

File->Open, pick your rez, and it will extract it in the folder it's sitting in.
Looks like those sneaks encrypted the attributes files so that'll be next on the list. Also my old DTX Viewer doesn't work with the DTXs they use, so those must be a newer format also.

For those not familiar with the Lith Engines:
TXT = Attribute Files (Encrypted in this game)
WAV = Obviously WAV Files for sounds (should support MP3 (or MP3encoded Wav) as well from what I recall)
    DTX = Texture
SPR = Sprite (Links to multiple DTXs for animations)
LTB = Model File (usually made from a LTA/LTC file that never gets released - used to be a LTB Converter floating around the NOLF Forums that may work )
DAT = Level Files / Maps (Generated by DEdit Application)

I swapped a bunch of the weapon files around (renamed the pistol's folder as AR and vice versa and such), and none of it had any effect on gameplay. Except, when I went to weapons and storage my computer like froze for a good 10 seconds b4 it loaded, and I bought a couple weapons and everything worked fine, but it was super laggy. The I started a match, and took freakin forever to load (way longer than it usually does for me), and once I got in the pistols and AR's behaved as they should.

I found this very interesting, I'm guessing the weapons are serverside or something? IDK what happened. Maybe it saw that my files were screwed up and automatically retrieved the correct files?

This is just like moving CHAR_T_BODY.rez to get a white cham.
I've did some study into this too.
I heard around that a game called AvP or Alien Versus Predator used .Rez files too and that there's an editor for that game.
But I've also heard people saying that it doesn't work. Maybe if we get an Advance coder
to rewrite some scripts, it should be able to edit CA's .rez files.
Buggy graphics is better than nothing right?

But overall, this is just what I heard about. [I.E. Rumors]
