Ok you have Vista. Just click Start. In the search field begin typing System Information. Open System Information up. Under system summary it's about 8-10 options down on the right side panel. It's called System Type and the value will be x" "-based PC and in those quotes is the number I need.
It's a fairly decent size file so allow time to download and install. Your PC will restart a few times during the process. This is normal. After you install SP2 double check to make sure UAC is indeed off. Also check to make sure your firewall and antivirus, if any at all, have exceptions for CA, that CA is run as admin, not under compatibility mode, and without other hacks. If you have a problem after all of this it may be the hack files. Download them again and I'll walk you through using them step by step.
I will leave this thread open but I may or may not be online. Your best bet to reach me is to leave a message on my visitor wall or send me a PM. I can't promise I will solve the problem but you've got the same exact situation I had and I managed to get it working.
