I called No Man's Sky's bullshit way before the game's initial release.
It promised WAY too much for it to be all in the game and working to form, especially since Hello Games previously made fucking iOS games.
Lots of people are disappointed I think more in the fact that it's less of a survival game and more of an exploring/discovering game. And one where you aren't really rewarded handsomely for exploring at that. I am mostly perturbed at the fact that even on a planet many, many maaanyyy lightyears away some plants/rocks/animals looks almost identical. Now I do understand only so much can be done with randomly procedural content but even a couple different body styles for small animals would be cooler than just having the same kind of body build with just different facial features/colours. Overall it is a game that has an acquired taste and can still appeal to some gamers but for the most part seems to be another shit bomb dropped in the gaming community that had high hopes.
I'd love for these guys to have their studios shut down and tossed into jail (mainly because they've given the video game industry ideas on how to treat players now) but they more than likely wont face any time. Just a slap on a wrist for fucking not just gamers but the buisnesses they worked with like steam.
