I have a test tomorrow and my match teacher is a fucking horrible 'teacher.'
I got dis:
cos 3x = 1/2
so I do
x = inverse of cos(1/2)/3
Using my special triangles I know that the inverse cos of one half is 60 degrees. SO SINCE ITS FUCKING POSITIVE THE REFERENCE ANGLE ONLY EXISTS IN THE FIRST AND FOURTH QUADRANT BUT THE BOOK SAYS OTHERWISE : @
30/3 = 10 degrees.
thats pi/9, and in the fourth quadrant thats 17pi/9
Its restricted between 0 and 2 pi
My textbook gets: pi/9, 5pi/9, 7pi/9,11pi/9,13pi/9,19pi/9
WHERE DO ALL THOSE OTHER ANSWERS COME FROM?
There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want, the other is getting it.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?
Yeah, a hundred bucks and i can do all my math in less than half the time for years.
Gee, sounds like a good investment. I still have mine from 5 years ago, works great.
Math teachers that don't allow graphing calculators on test are only holding you back. As you will definitely use a calculator later on. They are just doing the "well we didn't when we were young" thing old bitches do.
