I do started doing kick boxing a while back. We've got world wide champs so it's serious shit. The workouts are insane and after Like 20-30min of "warm ups", we start sparring. It's revolves around endurance and being able to fight even when you feel tired. My suggestion is mix cardio exercises for endurance and burning, with weight lifting, for muscle building. Doesn't have to be serious shit. Not saying go do dead lifts. Use a few machines, dumb bells and such.
