Not this exactly but whatever documentary I was watching on discovery showed tornadoes on the sun (not nearly in such high definition).

That's a spinning solar flare. They are huge too, 100x bigger than our planet

Not a flare though.. they actually are considered tornadoes.
It's plasma spinning around, created due to competing magnetic forces that rapidly pull the charged magnetic particles on the sun back and forth.
Flares are energy releases that ejects clouds of electrons, ions, and atoms through the corona into space.
They look more like flashes really nothing like this.
