Any responsible firearm owner would agree. For every shot you ever make, "Know your target, and what lies beyond it". If you can't, you don't discharge your firearm, it's as simple as that. It's not about the possibility of injury from a falling bullet, it's just a doctrine you should always uphold when firing a weapon.

When the earth is changed into a humid dungeon,
In which Hope like a bat
Goes beating the walls with her timid wings
And knocking her head against the rotten ceiling;
When the rain stretching out its endless train
Imitates the bars of a vast prison
And a silent horde of loathsome spiders
Comes to spin their webs in the depths of our brains,
All at once the bells leap with rage
And hurl a frightful roar at heaven,
Even as wandering spirits with no country
Burst into a stubborn, whimpering cry.
— And without drums or music, long hearses
Pass by slowly in my soul; Hope, vanquished,
Weeps, and atrocious, despotic Anguish
On my bowed skull plants her black flag.
Then he would be on the news for hitting a dog with a night stick and you all would be bitching and crying over that.
I'm not bitching or crying just because I don't agree with your point of view? Learn to have a conversation. jeeze you act like I attacked you or something.
Plus that would be a lot better headline... " Cop taps dog on snout to avoid getting bit" than " Cop guns down dog in CA neighborhood" Idk, just how I see it I guess?
I don't get it, he shot the dog in self defense, + nobody even knows the cop's story and why that guy was arrested. everyone just cares about the dog getting shot.
The dog was sniffing the ground and the cop reached for a dog that was most likely stressed and in a very uncomfortable situation...I know the OWNER was an idiot for not turning his music down, but how bright do you have to be to know, NOT to reach anywhere NEAR a dogs face or neck that is in a situation like that and you're a complete stranger to the dog, NOT to mention you are man handling its owner? The cop made a dumb decision as well.
And they told you why he was getting arrested " obstruction of justice " his music was too loud and he didn't turn it down.
Still tho even if he fired one it would have had a high % of hitting someone seeing how there where a lot of people around with there fucking phones out like dumb asses.
it wouldn't since in the case of a bullet fired at sufficiently close to a vertical angle to result in a non-ballistic trajectory, the bullet would tumble, lose its spin, and fall at a much slower speed due to terminal velocity and is therefore rendered less than lethal on impact
