    Question i think i found a way to get the ip of the players

    i just started learning how to get addies and commands out of the engine and cshell so im not sure if this works but if the unpacked engine file there is this i started messing around with it and it is some sort of code to get the tcp/ip address of something

    here is a screen shot of it:



    if any one can do some thing with it that would be awesome

    Engine.exe would have no business with other players IP addresses. At most it is yours or the Nexon messenger's.

    CLTClient makes me think it is engine.exe sending the clients (you, as the player) address to Nexon Messenger.

    Well, complete speculation but MAYBE you can prevent nexon messenger from seeing your IP. but as for useful...nothing I can think of.

    do u mean the server used to sign in or the server u are currently playing on ?

    if the one to sign in with we could get the ip and crash ca for a lil while :}
    jks i wouldnt do that i would rather hack them and take the server removing the crappy hackshield

    taha you are absolutely right but unfortunately not what your thinking. That GetTcpIPAddress function is most likely for the lobby, being as when your in the lobby the game uses tcp protocol,once in game it uses udp. The game uses client id numbers for each players no ip info is exchanged between server and other clients. A+ for effort and attempting to at least explorer for yourself.

    If you could get the server your currently playing on's IP, and you had a significantly sized botnet, you might be able to lag it or crash it temporarily.

    Funny thing is when i showed the addie it was my ip address...
    =/
    User CP -> Edit Signature -> Make less then one line.
