The Patches Must Of Messed Up Re-Install Crossfire.

To update your graphic drivers, you do this.
FOR WINDOWS 7, VISTA:

1. Choose Start→Control Panel→Hardware and Sound→Device Manager.
2. Click the plus sign next to Display Adapters, right-click the graphics card that you installed, and then choose Properties.
If you see "this device is working properly", then idk, just install a different video card, like NVIDIA.
If you see "this device if not working properly", then of course just install a different video card, like NVIDIA.

Create a new system administrator account and try running CF on that.

try running crossfire with compability mode... -> right click on crossfire, properties, tick the "run this program in compability mode for ..."

If that doesn't work, then you really have to either upgrade your windows, or reformat, or just buy a new computer/laptop. Only way.

Hell, sorry guys. Between all the sports I participate, working all the time, and just trying to get out when I can is hard. So you want me to create another user with admin powers on it and then re download crossfire on it? Do you want me to uninstall on my original user?

Do this:
right click crossfire.exe and make a shortcut. Now right click the shortcut and hit properties. Highlight everthing under target and delete it. Then paste this:


"C:\Program Files (x86)\Z8Games\CrossFire\crossfire.exe" -HWGSK 00

It should run. Dont log in with your main account. (you may get hack tool detected). That is how i fucked with crossfire back in the day .
If it runs, then nothing is wrong with your game executable or game files. Its either xtrap or hgwc. If its the latter, you should consider uninstalling cf then redownloading.
