hey again i am having trouble when trying to make custom skins for secondary weapons such as the striker and spas-12 i go through all the steps in order but the finished file sizes are not ending up the same as the original. i am noticing when i start the original weapon_striker_col is 1,366 Kb but once i am finished editing it in photoshop and save it as the D3D/DDS (*.dds) then selecting RGB 4bpp no alpha that the filesize drops to 683 Kb and when i use CRCFIXER it doesn't change the file size back to the same as the original.
@lucas_shagg When you create a new skin you have to save as "D.X.T.5 ARGB (Interpolated Alpha)
Format "D.X.T.1 RGB (No Alpha)" is use for camo.
Not always. I have found a few weapons that do NOT use alpha channels. Just click on channels and see if there is an alpha channel to see what you need to save it as.
Alpha Channel=D.X.T 5
No alpha=D.X.T 1
