With CBT behind us, we are quickly moving ahead to a wider, Open Beta test.
Thanks to everyone that participated in AVA’s closed beta test this past weekend! It was a big success, allowing us to test our systems, identify issues that need resolving, and revealing areas in which we can improve our service. This would not have been possible without your participation, and the detailed feedback you shared on the community forums.
With CBT behind us, we are quickly moving ahead to a wider, Open Beta test. After all, we don’t want to leave you without access to the game for too long! OBT begins Thursday, August 25 at 10 a.m. PDT. The OBT is accessible to anyone with an En Masse account, and a download link to the client will be publicly available to all interested players on Thursday morning. If you participated in CBT, there is no need to re-download the client—your CBT client will patch up automatically when you log in to the AVA game launcher.
Also starting Thursday, players can transfer characters and progress from Aeria Games accounts to our servers. We’ll share more details regarding the character transfer process in a detailed guide Thursday morning. There will be no data wipe following OBT, so you’ll retain any progress going forward. You will also be able to purchase and spend En Masse Points (EMP) in the in-game AVA store.
In addition to allowing character transfers and all the fast-paced action you’ve come to enjoy, the OBT brings with it several game updates:
An all-new “AVA Sports” event mode that thrusts players into a series of unique skill-testing competitions, including Super Jump, Hurdles, Marksmanship, and more!
Two new AI Escort maps: Rising Dust (Night) and Scorpion
Several new auto-repairing weapons for purchase with Euros
Plus more to be revealed in the patch notes tomorrow!
Finally, all OBT participants will receive the EME-branded melee weapon pictured above upon full launch of AVA later this year.
Cancel your plans this weekend, your AVA character is returning to action!
