PE to bypass country restriction?

I've heard that it used to be possible to play GMS from Europe with a packet edit. I've googled for this, but no useful results so far.
So what I'm wondering .. does anybody have an idea whether this is possible? or, how to?

I've tried using hotspot shield, but it disconnects me every 5 minutes and lags like hell. AOL doesn't work for me either.

I hope you guys can help me with this, or maybe have other suggestions on how to play GMS from Europe?

Just use a VPN with an American IP. I find VPNs work better than proxies.

Well I use to play GMS from EU all the time using a free US VPN, however the ones I use to use have been shut down and I haven't played for about 4-5 months but you should be able to find a decent working one by now, just google free USA VPN and look around and do a bit of research into it and I'm sure you'll find a decent working one for free!
I would find one for you myself but I won't have access to a computer for a few days but if you still haven't found one by then I'll have a look for you and let you know if I find one

Thing is, I've googled before, I tried a lot of them already but for some reason most of them don't work for me. :/

I think it should be ok, I made an entire tut thread in the combat arms section and I linked several VPN sites. I think, because it's not a service that mpgh provides it doesn't matter because your not making people leave mpgh like posting a link to another hack site would. But of course I may be totally wrong

You should go ahead and invest five~ten dollars a month in a man's VPN, like ibVPN. I'm on a VPN right now for no good reason.

I would recommend it, I only said to use a free one because that's what I use due to the lack of a steady income, I'm only a student/musican so I don't really get any regular money but if you can afford one then by all means, do it!
