Kinda shy to ask this but how do you make a female character?

Well as the title says,how do i make a female character?i watched a vid of maplestory(dunno which country) and saw that they have an option to change the gender while you creating the character while the maplestory i played(SEA version) doesnt have one.does anyone know about this and noted that im new to this maplestory game.

i have searched all the forum and it seems that nobody have experienced this prob,maybe only me or something else is bugging my game.also noted that the maplestory i have is up to date.u can suggest me by patching the older ver though.

You can only change gender in the beginning.
There should be a option for you to switch.

lol yeah i know but there seems to be NO BUTTON FOR GENDER in my maplestory...i dunno if this only effects on maplestory sea....i also took a screen shot on the login screen but i cant catch a screen shot,dunno why...ill try later though

I know that in MapleStory GMS, at least older versions of it, it's programmed to ask you your gender on first login. I have a feeling that it forces your gender based on the decision you made there. You'll probably just need to make a new account.
