How to make your own Minecraft server [Hamachi]

i think if you run it in compatability mode for xp or vista it should work in theory im just not shure i will

test it out later

Me and my friend downloaded your cracked version of Minecraft, and followed the steps to host a LAN server, we got it all working and setup, however, we are getting an error when we are connecting to the server, we get a message "Disconnected, client is outdated".

Sorry was on my post ban but anyways I am back now and yes I am using a windows 7 -64 bit I have no problems with it. No you don't have to portforward anything. And about the time out this happend to me but it was because I wasn't connected to hamachi at the time. I can go through the steps again and make any corrections to make sure I didn't leave anything out for you guys if you need me too if you are having problems.

wow why does it not work for any other win 7 users i am double checking steps but it does not matter i have a vista comp too and i am using that to host while im playin on my win 7 comp

One of my friends at school reported this problem too me since I am not busy at the moment I will look into it and see if I can find the root of the problem.

i have win 7 65 bit and my server works fine, be sure you entered the right ip in server.properties
If you can't connect to the server, be sure your connected to hamachi and in the ip window, try entering *hamachiip*:25565 (replace *hamachiip*)

i am 100% sure that all steps have been followed properly and i know this because i have got this to work on non win 7 computers multiple times.

The problems with this method are these: Your server isn't going to be up 24/7, it's going to be laggy if you have bad internet and Hamachi takes up ALOT of bandwidth.
