Prototype 2: devs didn't play prototype 1.

I just bought prototype 2. Now i was a big fan of the first one, but more importantly i played through it 3 times.(meaning i know the story).

1. Now in prototype 2, you play as heller. A black guy who lost his family to the virus and becomes an "evolved" From Mercer).
Now the problem here, is that in p1, mercer became what he was from the original virus from GREEN*(pay attention to that). You killed green.

2. The plot in P2 pretty much goes on "mercer is creating the virus outbreak again". Which since i spent 99% of the time in p1 killing virus infected buildings and pretty much stopping the outbreak(hell i even rejected a direct offer to help the virus several times), it seems VERY ODD that Alex Mercer is now attacking and spreading the virus AGAIN. Not only that, what is the gain here? If he's doing it again, since he already broke the city once, whats there to do?

3. "We gotta save people and kill blackwatch since they are killing other people". This whole thing is hypocrisy. I kill at least 1000 people on my way to every mission. But then i get there and its some goddamn priest giving me "don't let them study the mutations". The fuck do i care? there are zombies everywhere and i'm worried that some scientist will experiment? LOL NO.

4. You pick all your upgrades up in the same way. Seriously, is this metroid? I didn't "lose my powers" but i didn't have any at the start.(same shit).

why am i fighting the protagonist of the first game who saved the entire city from a nuke, stopped the virus, and I do believe his sister is dead.

Seriously i'm lost here. How does a the dev team not even play the first one.......

Mercer is a bad guy..
and he is like ooooooooooo i am evil and starts doing evil things... thats all.

But but..........i wanna play a bad guy, not a stereotypical black guy!(stupid, says mutha fucka a lot, and thinks scientist are "nerds" during a zombie apocalypse).

Anyway, i remember at the end of prototype 1 he was like "oh shit i did all that" but i don't remember him being a goddamn nazi superior race guy. In fact he was the only one outside of Green, who he murdered........

I'm just lost here. Its like.....halo reach or EDF:IA

A game that really similar to the last, a graphics upgrade........but the soul, the best part, the most interesting stuff..........is gone.

prototype was never about the story..
i beat the game twice myself
and most fun fucking around
jumping form car to car..

story... means very little.
story missions were fun to play.
side missions were crap...

i had fun fucking around in the first one..
and -> from reviews i seen ov second one.. its still there..

but the story is still stale

i will never relate to alex mercer.. he is nothing like me, nor the new black guy...

he will forever be a soulless being like indiana jones and han solo
