    Question Port 25565 is closed????

    Ey guys,

I wanna make my own minecraft server and I have build it already.
It was almost online but when I wanna port forward it I didn't came through,
everywebsite where I test it says: Port 25565 is closed on *********
    I have 2 routers,
1 wireless and 1 just cable
the cable sends the "internet" trough a cable to the wireless router which creates a wireless network at home.
    The wireless modem: Linksys WRT54GC
    The cable modem: Thomson ST706
I need to forward it because I want the server cracked.
I will wait patiently for answer,

sorry for my bad english I am doing my best.

    greats,

okay, type in the IP of your router into your url bar in your browser (It's probably this 192.168.1.1 )
show me a picture once you have done that?
If you need a password it should either be admin or no password
upload the image to imgur.com then post a link here

Dun forget to add the port forwarding for it. You could also try using some other port, 13337 for example.

@jokie666 Go to command prompt and type "ipconfig" without the quotation marks. Now look under the section that says "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:" And find the line that says "Default Gateway". Follow the periods over to the number (I have a linksys and it's always 10.0.0.1 for me) and type that into the URL of your web browser (such as IE, FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari). Make sure you ONLY have that number and nothing else.

A little dialogue box saying "Username: Password:" will appear. Google your linksys router model and then add "default password" to find out what the default password is. If it works, it works. If it doesn't work, then your parents changed the username and password, and you're going to need to use a different port.

@jokie666 Call your ISP or modem manufacturer and ask about the modem and why it is blocking ports. Most likely the thing is on routing mode causing it to be messing with your Linksys router's settings. this is known as a Double NAT and causes many problems with server connections on gaming consoles and makes all ports closed. It should be switched to Bridge Mode. I had a problem just like this one and I fixed it by doing this. Once it is changed to Bridge mode go to http://canyouseeme.org/ and enter 25565. Make sure your server is turned on and see if it's open.
