Okay, my question to those who develop/work in the gaming industry: Why don't game devs design the game to use more server sided resources, a perfect example of this is League of Legends (very difficult to hack as some of you may know). My question is why arn't all new games following that model?

Two of my theories (that may as well be wrong as i am uneducated, hence my presence here):

  • uses to much of the servers resources (too expensive/more bandwidth)

  • the complexity of the game (physics calculations/massively multiplayer, League of Legends isn't very complex)

Could someone also let me know if WoW has much of a hacker issue, if so.. why or why not?
