runescape client

well i'm not to savvy with these things so i thought i would ask the community. i have been playing rs for around 2 years but since the stupid bot update my client even on lowest detail and smallest setting i still run at a max of between 4-7 frames per second. should i use the programs on the forum to hopefully give myself better fps or could their be a worse problem behind this. runescape is the only game that does this too me.

Have you tried joining less crowded worlds?
Also, how is your internet connection in the first place?

You could also set the client to 'high priority' within Task Manager

Ravallo and Markus gave you the best tipps you could use,
it won't help you to use a Tool from our forums because they are basically just
webbrowsers with Runescape as the default page

yeah i play in low crowded worlds with 400-1000 people at most, and i do not seem to have problems loading or running other browser based games except for this one. i used to run from 30-40 fps on hd before they did their bot update(which was pointless to begin with).

Try the following steps @disturbed14x

1. Task managar -> java(w).exe -> right click -> set priority to "high" or "realtime" if possible
2. Install game booster (link to thread below)
3. Install Ccleaner (link to thread below)
4. Install MzGameAccelerator (link to thread below)
5. Set your graphics to 'min' and fixed and click the 'custom' button and then set 'CPU Usage' to maximum.
6. At the same 'custom graphics options' menu, try to find the one which suits you the best ; 'Software', 'OpenGL' or 'DirectX'

i have tried all of them except MzGameAccelerator i'll download it now and get back to you with how it went hope it works haven't played runescape since bot update because of it...

well the game accelerator didn't work but after Jagex did their performance update i can run it on high detail again..... finally
