CD-key problem!

^ I have downloaded and used that program before and it works like a charm, but recently when I go to extract it to my desk top to use it again, my computer deletes it and will not let me run it. It does not even come up that Norton deleted it so there is not option that I can see to reverse it.

If you had bought the key from me then I offer insurance on keys. But if you got it from funforum5, his keys are faulty and I haven't heard many good things.

I have the same problem as OP. I used the CD key changer found in Lockdowns thread, ran as admin. The CD key is LEGIT, so don't go around and say it isn't. It's bought directly from steam. I haven't launched OA after changing the key either. Whenever I try to start the game from Six Updater, it says "Bad CD key given in setup" or something along these lines.

How dare you insult me and my keys when you're having the EXACT same problems on your own thread! If anything, even more complaints. I've replaced all of my keys that had problems and now have no more problems. I'd say more but don't want to be banned for flaming retards like lockdown was.

That problem is due to the CD key, but since you know it's legit I suggest making sure you typed it correctly. You can copy and paste the key right from steam to the CDkey changer by Copying it to your clipboard, right clicking on the top title of the CDkey changer in lockdown's thread, go to edit, then paste. Also don't use the key changer linked earlier in the thread, that's the key changer I recommend to my buyers and only works with the hex-version of keys (Not the key you have).

Edit: Also I'm not sure but try doing it without the dashes, that could be it.

Well I got a code like 1111-1111-1111-1111 and then I had to copy & paste it.
But that didn't work for me.
Then someone told me to remove the - and it worked!
You should try it out.

The key has been typed correctly and I have been using the CD key changer from Lockdown's thread. I did the copy/paste thing too, still not working. Thanks for your informative answer tho.

Hmm I can't think of anything else that would affect that. Worst case scenario, just redownload the game.

Yeah, I decided to start reinstalling the game. Deleted the registry keys from the registry too. Hopefully it'll work when I insert the new key when it's done downloading.

This thread isn't about you and mean bitching over who's better. We both sell keys, get over it.

And Uzrbital if that still doesn't work I'd suggest contacting steam. I know last week they were having problems with their keys but not sure what error it was giving out. I think it was something about them not having enough keys to sell (even steam runs out of keys :P).

If you want to bitch make a topic about it but don't do it in this topic since people need help.
My problem is fixed but this guy still needs some help so let's all try to come up with a solution.
