Wink Sell XBox for i5 2500k or AMD Phenom II 965?

Hey guys. I really need to make a strong descision here. Should I sell my Xbox 360 slim (new) with tons of games for $275? It is so I can buy i5 2500k with a motherboard. Or should I keep my Xbox and get a AMD Phenom II 965.

I wanna play games like Crysis 3. Please tell me.

Also, is a 3750k Ivy Bridge or a 2500k Sandy Bridge Better?

    Links:
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)

Which one should I buy if I do sell my Xbox?

IF I GET AN INTEL CPU I'M GETTING THE GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77. IS THAT A GOOD IDEA?

3570K Ivy Bridge (New Architecture) is better than 2500K Sandy Bridge (Old Architecture) by about 20%

As for if you should sell your xbox or not, it's up to you.
But playing Crysis 3 you'd need a strong CPU and Graphics Card.
    helt ensam.

i5 2500k is plenty overclockable to reach speeds to match the 3570k, not to mention that your main worry is your graphics card and that most sandy bridge processors will last you longer than a graphics card.

    2500k because yolo.

Most likely OP is getting a stock cooler, good luck OCing on that.

I'm getting 3570k maybe but ICountToThree is worrying me with the whole "Last Longer" thing. Also, if I get this will I be able to record gameplay for games like DayZ and BO2?

Mind if I take a shot at those two builds? @Utazchet

    Case
    CPU
    Motherboard
    Memory
    Video Card
    Hard-drive
    Powersupply

Total (with shipping (with my zip), no rebates): $681.82

    $950:

    Case
    CPU
    Heatsink
    Motherboard
    Memory
    Video Card
    Hard-drive
    Powersupply

Total (I was able to get this "Super egg saving" thing, 4-7 day shipping, free, no rebates): $948.92

Few things, you can definitely lower the Heatsink and or case to get a better motherboard or PSU (though they'll both get the job done).

DayZ (from my own personal experience recording) is a CPU heavy game. The Graphics card will merely increase what settings you play on whilst the CPU will take the brunt. If you want to record DayZ then your going to better if you get the 3570k. As for BOPS2 the graphics aren't a massive worry, same with the CPU as its better programmed etc. DayZ is an old game from 2009 (Arma 2: OA's engine) so it relies more on a CPU than anything else.

3570k and 2500k are practically the same CPU. the only difference is that ivy bridge uses 22nm technology and sandy bridge uses 32nm technology.

You don't really need crazy specs for recording on BO2 because of their built in theater system. DayZ I have absolutely no experience with so it's not my place to talk

Maybe, but with the money he saves he can easily buy another cooler check.
