    Mini ITX Gaming Build

Ok, so after being sufficiently talked out of a high-spec laptop Mini ITX is looking pretty attractive for portability and such. ASRock's M8 in particular caught my eye. Here's the build:

    ASRock M8 Chassis
    Integrated Motherboard (Intel Z87 chipset)
    450W SilverStone SFX PSU
    Intel i5-4670K (3.4GHz)
AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition
    1TB 7200RPM SATA III HDD
    120GB Crucial M500 SSD
    Slot Load 24X DVD R/W
    16GB Corsair Vengeance CL9 1600MHz RAM
Integrated WiFi Card + Bluetooth 4.0

Also purchasing an ASUS 24" LCD Monitor (HDMI + Built-in speakers)

    Total Cost: $2500 Including Shipping

    Issues:

    1) That price point seems high. I'm not building myself because of the investment and my inexperience but even including assembly costs that seems a bit above what the components should be.

    2) 450W PSU, really? I'm ordering through XoticPC and thats the ONLY PSU available for the M8. What gives? You'd think a 650W would be more appropriate considering the GPUs available (Up through GTX Titan) Is that normal? Will it run OK?

Thoughts? Suggestions? Other Builds? General ITX experiences? Post it up

Dont quote me on this but i think 480w is the highest due to the small enclosure of the tower. Any larger and it wouldnt fit.

The 450W PSU will be plenty.

Here's a chart showing total system consumption of various graphics card (with an X79 mobo and i7 CPU). It is also measured during a Furmark stress test which stresses the system more than any game can.

As you can see it'll be enough for a 7970.
