It definetly looks better & it shouldn't have too much problems getting more then 60FPS in CS:GO on Ultra-ish settings at the FullHD res.

Much more improved.. also why are all the builds you looking at AMD? Is it coincidence.. or you looking towards an AMD build.. (Intel is better for gaming.)

Can you ask him/her what's the exact model of the mobo?
Games don't really profit from i7's HyperThreading, so if you want to switch to Intel, an i5 would be a better & cheaper choice for gaming.
Or a more money-efficient version: sell this CPU, get the FX-8320(or FX-6300), they are very good CPUs for money and should be able to push even faster GPUs to their maximum(yea, Intel is usually better in gaming, but differences are usually minor, so yea).

intel the company is not better for gaming/neither are all of their processors

a higher end cpu will be better, but in that range. AMD kicks ass in performance/$

Wait .. to my knowledge, benchmarks does suggest that Intel provides a better single-core performance AND also very very slight benefits towards video gaming.

And I actually would agree with you that AMD provides better cost to performance but also in that price range there may be intel builds which can be more beneficial, but that is subject to personal preferences. I just want to ensure that he doesn't just limits himself towards AMD builds and look towards others.
