Question I'm choosing things for my desktop, but I don't know what monitor to use..

    Hi guys!

To give you a little background so you can give me the most effective answer possible, I'm a bit of a tech nerd. I know a lot about computers but I'm not specifically into hardware. I much rather prefer to focus on software and things in a computer after the OS has been installed. I have enough knowledge to make a computer based on what I'm going to use it for. I like working in graphics although I'm not an artist, so I'm messing with adobe Pr, Ae, and Ps but since I'm using a laptop I can't render anything quick at all. It takes forever and it's just sad. My friend has a computer with a gtx 680 in it and he can reder things at about 20 times the rate of me depending on what we're rendering.

As for my computer (and gaming / work set up in general) I'm designing I have a small list of its contents (mostly what would be important on deciding what monitor(s) to buy. What I want is a monitor that is 1080p with a 16:9 ratio that has as little delay as possible. I think that being able to modify the color of the display with buttons on your monitor is important since sometimes the coloring can seem faded or too sharp.

    List of important computer specs--

    CPU - Intel I7 5820k 6Core 3.3GHz
GPU - Dual SLI Nvidia gtx 970's 4gb of GDDDR5
    RAM - 2, 8GB DDR4 (with 2 more additional empty ram slots)
    HDD 1 - 250gb Samsung 850 EVO Series SATA - III 6gb/s with 540mb read and 520mb write
    HDD 2 - 2TB hard drive, 7200RPM, 6gb/s, 64mb cache
    Motherboard - MSI X99S GAMING 7 ATX w/Killer GbLAN, 4x Gen3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1, 1x M.2, 8x SATA 6Gb/s

I have a really nice desk that curves around a little so I can easily fit 3 monitors on my desk as I plan to. I'll get a mount for them if needed but as of now I plan to set them on the desk separately.

So all in all, I want a very powerful computer and I am willing to pay a lot of money. I'm researching monitors ATM but I'm not specialized in this section. So hopefully some or many of you can give me some suggestions as to what monitors I should look into.

At the minimum the monitor needs to display at 60FPS with (preferably) the ability to OC at 75HZ refresh rate.

Thanks for any help I receive. Have a nice day!

Personally I would recommend one of the lovely BenQ 144Hz monitors as they have a gorgeous colour range and can be used for anything from gaming to graphic design, but if money is absolutely no object I would recommend some of samsungs 4k behemoths which I cannot remember the name of but a quick google will help. If you need any more suggestions just send me a PM and I will do the best I can to assist you.

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to look into the BenQ and I could eventually save money for a 4k but I'm not looking for that as I will be gaming and there will be a ton of bugs in the 4k with a graphics card since they are new. I'd rather stick to something that is gurantee'd to work well since new tech isn't ever perfect.

    Thank you!

P.S. I should've mentioned :P My size range would be at least 22" to at largest 27" maybe 28" but that's stretching my desk a bit :P

I would also suggest taking a look at Ultra Wide monitors. Most of them are IPS Screens and have a 5ms or lower response time.

I myself have a 29" Ultra Wide and everything from Gaming, Video Editing, Photoshopping and General Viewing is phenomenal.
