OMG WERE ARE THE HAKZ! I CANTZ FINDZ THEMZ! OMG I AM GOING TO CRY! AHHHH!!!
I play WoW. The thing with WoW hacks is that they are not memory hacks. They alter the incoming information from the server, therefore you are altering the server side information. Thats manipulation, and that breaks the copyright laws for their program. Most people do not know but all of Blizzards games have a Warden Client. A Warden client takes up to 100 pictures of your frames per second. It then determines what processes your running behind the game your playing, and will send information to a tech and a GM. They will contact you in game, and then contact you personally to file a lawsuit against you. Depending on the hack that is. Bot is instant life ban. Mod hacks are up to 3 year bans, and server side hacks are permanent ban with a possible lawsuit and federal prosecution. They make 320 million a month, not a company I would wanna F*** with.
Correct, if Blizzard wins then basically every pay to cheat site will be shut down.
so if we have hacks, that's not illegal?
i would think nexon would take them to court.
but i could be wrong.
which i doubt i am...
because i've seen other sites shutting down.
so how is mpgh staying in the clear?
You silly thread bumpers. I guess this thread should have closed a long time ago. I think there's even a newer one about the same topic. No answers for you! Or well, I'll tell you any way. The type of hacks are what decipher legality. A businesses ability to corrupt uneducated decision makers with money or bias false claims, is an issue, as well. That's all.

We are editing our OWN memory on our OWN computer to give us an edge in gaming. That's like plugging in a cheat code on a console but in a more complicated manner. The Internet Security Act of 2000 states that for unlawfully accessing to commit fraud, and damaging, a protected computer where that conduct: (1) causes a loss aggregating at least $5,000 in value during a one-year period to one or more individuals; (2) modifies or impairs the medical examination, diagnosis, treatment, or care of one or more individuals; (3) causes physical injury to any person; or (4) threatens public health or safety. Includes attempted offenses within the scope of the Act. In no way what so ever are we causing any of these things to ***** for simply releasing a "hacking" tool for their game.
