So that leaves you with what kind of budget?

    Edit:
    - Too late -
The 'ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3' would be very decent, comes at €160 over here.

    Fine
Asrock's Extreme3 / Extreme4 if you want bang for the buck. The Extreme4 might be a bit out of the budget, but it's worth it.

The main thing upgrade that Z68's have over P67's are: Support for integrated graphics card (ie. intel core's i3, i5, & i7 have these & you won't need that if you have a discreet graphics card) & SSD Caching, I honestly doubt many people are using SSD's anyway due to their expensiveness. So unless you have a use for either of those then you should probably roll with a cheaper P67 mobo.

P67 boards are just about defunct here in Australia plus Z68 has far greater over-clocking capability than P67.

The Z68 helps with OC'ing, but in the long run the processor is the main variable for that.

He already has a 2600K so he's all good in the processor department.

    That's great, I'll look around for a good Z68 Mobo that's under $150 then.
