    Exclamation Laptop Too Loud

When the battery is not plugged in, my laptop is quiet, but when the battery's plugged in, my laptop's "fan" is insanely loud. Even when my door is closed, you can still hear the fan.
Also, not only that, my laptop gets hot extremely quick, when I keep it on with battery plugged in for over an hour or two, my laptop crashes down saying my laptop's temperature exceeds the limit.

Can anyone please help me fix this problem?

I used to have the same problems with my old laptop. I was told to change the fan because obviously it was a hardware problem, but I just ended up getting a new laptop. What kind of computer is it?

The fan goes full power because your computer is getting to such a high temperature so its going full force which means loud as it can be. It's trying to cool it off only thing you can do is fix the over heating problem and hope it slows the down the fan = quieter.

It's overheating. Happened to my laptop several times, I was left with no option but to find the nearest hardware store and purchase this additional fanning system underneath the battery and it worked fine.

Problem with that underneath fan is its LOUDER lol ive had one and it didn't help my overheating problem as well it kept crashing. Whiskey. you need to research more on the HP forum, call HP, or go to a computer specialist store have them look at it mention the graphics card thing and see what they say. It might be that one thing. Its a chain reaction graphics card causes to much heat, fans go full gears, computer crashes. Why ignore the main problem. I haven't be inside your computer so I cant say it is just the graphics card it could be more thats why I recommend going to the closest computer specialist see what they say.

Really? It's quiet enough for me and it completely got rid of the overheating on my HP Pavilion laptop.

with my HP laptop when it was loud and overheating i just took the keyboard off and cleaned the fan as it had a heap load of dust on it, and check the where air goes in the laptop as places like that get clogged up with dust.

it could be that you need to get a new battery

my sister used to have a dv6, a lot of dust collected up... either clean out some of the dust bunnies and use a cooling stand or get a new laptop

Yep, will be. You need to replace to a better fan, computers when you buy them built often have poor fans, but not always.
