So I have a slight problem with my computer, it annoys me to death and I can't play a single game without the screen freezing up, then unfreezing up every few seconds. I really don't understand why this happens, but it just sorta' came on last year. Before, I could run Minecraft, full graphics at a constant 120FPS. Now it goes from 120FPS to 0 for a few seconds, then back to 120. Its killing me, I haven't played a game in months...
Anyway, the computer is clean, virus-free, it stays cool, there's no big issues besides the frameskip. And its with every game, and a lot of processes, not just one single one. Of course not all programs lag. Anything thats uses 30,000KB+ will frameskip. Also, I don't know if this will help, but my battery is broken, doesn't hold a charge. Would it help if I got a new battery? It might have started happening during my battery's break.
My Specs are:
CPU: Intel i7 Quad Core (8 Virtual Cores) 1.6GHz (Its underclocked by the factory, because the computer is known for overheating)
GPU: ATI Raedon Mobility HD 4570
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
Manufacturer/Make/Model: Dell Studio 1557 (I think its 2007-2010, not sure, and its a laptop)
Anyway, thats about it. If you have any remedies, or if anyone else has been having this issue, tell me!
Thanks to my Favorite Community,
P.S. Please don't tell me to buy anything, or to buy a new computer, I have asked for help before and got to that point. So please, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME TO BUY ANYTHING! Thank you!
