Question Is there a good rgb format for animations?

Any of you know how widely supported alternative animation formats are on different browsers/computers? Gifs are obviously not good for any kind of art, but I don't want to go to a full-blown video. I'm pretty much stumped. Any of you know a solution?

I just created a really nice 102 frame animation of some bokkeh art changing colors, and I can't figure out how to get everyone to see it
Time to start cycling through old sigs.

Just use the highest settings for your GIF and it should be fine, bro.

My main problem is the conversion to indexed colors. 256 isn't close to enough to do the subtle differences across the 1000x400 pic, and I'm using the whole spectrum, so even worse

    @[CF]Tree, yeah, that's what i'm using.

It's a bit more complex than that
Look at the bokeh art thing, then imagine that animated to change colors softly and slowly, like mood lighting.

Im guessing the regular .PNG would work, as .PNG was made specifically in order to replace the animated .GIF format.

Go look it up. Im not 100% sure if it would support animations like gif or not but best bet says it does.

I believe that would work. Problem is no web browsers have native support.

And reading that just showed me that PNG had animation features left out because it wasnt popular back then

Only unofficial version of png support it but I have no clue how to get them to work with any programs like photoshop
