    I can believe that. I've been having the same issue... but yeah I'm kinda allowed to do it at school since its about multimedia which i wanted to have as a minor (tobad that the canceled that program).

    well now im really doing basic stuff, altough i did some point to point work it really didn't work out. I was trying to apply cel shading but it was so off, random lines between points began to show black outlines and such so i currently start from cubes/cilinders/etc. and remodel these.

    + my current modeling tool is C4D since i'm creating some mods for Amnesia.

    Blender, those where some bad days :/ just couldn't get to work with it a couple of years ago ... idk about now though. Maya and 3DSMax seems to have simplified over de releases.

    Blender is really good for characters and weapons, I have 3DS Max but I never use it whatsoever.

    hmm maybe this will help since this is the main prop i want to use a UV mapper for. I know that most engines do differ but if you create it from a universal map it should be possible to transfer it from engine to engine. i do warn you that the sizes of the images are over the 10mb each.

    I would use Maya for UV Mapping, it breaks it down the simplest unless you just want to use UV Mapper which is a decent freeware tool.
