I don't do illustration, never got into it. I looked at your deviant art and you seem REALLY good! I do graphic design as a hobby right now and spend the time that I can learning new techniques. I've done graphic design for i'd say around two dozen people and they've all said my work was very professional and a lot of them came back and bought more later. I'm putting together a portfolio and will update when it's finished but I have about 6 projects going on and that's one of the main reasons my shop is sloppy, I didn't spend as much time as I would've liked to on it but I plan to do some revising on it once I finish up my current projects.
Try to keep the criticism positive guys, and attempt to give a suggestion on how to make it better if you are going to point out a negative. I like how you focus on the simplicity and get customers to quickly see your past work portfolio right in the middle of the page.
I can't post links to give you more website design ideas because of mpgh's ridiculous 25 post requirement rule but in all honesty I like the original design. Just try and get more examples of your work on there. That's what the customer wants to see.
