I mean, without a machine now where would you arrive? This isn't the terminator where you just appear anywhere. there has to be a specific place like in another time machine.
Time travel would not require a device to be present in the past. That's essentially not understanding time travel or time travel theory.

From my understanding the only possible thing in the universe that can appear out of nowhere and disappear are two particles (cant remember the name of it) that appear out of nowhere, collide with each other and then cease to exist.

And if a time machine in the past isn't needed in order to travel back in time then what object can harness enough energy to make sure you fully arrive? Since the technology did not exist at that point?

    O_O

So.....point A to B time travel tunnel? Meh, that's just limiting the theory for no reason.

You are also talking about about teleportation problems. I.e. "how does all of you make it". Again, limited science now.

But I'm talking about him getting back to his present time. If he took the machine back into our current time then it wouldn't exist because the technology does not exist unless he knows how to manipulate black holes or dark matter at our current state of advancement in science and technology

His predictions, most of them, were not true.
    He is obviously bullshitting everyone.

Why does technology have to exist now to use it?

You are adding in a clause that doesn't exist in general time travel theory.

sadly not...it will simply collapse into a little white dwarf that is insanely dense, but its not massive enough to turn into a black hole.

by the way, black hole are simply extremely massive white dwarfs.. a white dward turns into a black hole when its so massive light cannot escape its gravitational pull

its not a hole, its probably just a sphere.

I am very sure that it'll turn into a black hole.
It has the highest mass in our part of the universe, so once it does go out and fade.
Even if it did turn into a white dwarf it'd likely consume its surroundings too, eventually turning into the aforementioned.

Lets just for once make it simpler.
Think of Family Guy, just have a return pad. I'm sure that if you somehow managed to make a device to throw off the space and time to bend to your will, then you could probably make a device to undo it to return back.

no it wont, scientists calculated that it wont

by highest mass you mean our solar system? yea. that doesnt mean much

it wont consume anything. it will simply die out. after the supernova there isnt much left. the mass needed in one place so a black hole forms is muuuch bigger then anything that will ever attract to a little white dwarf

Ex0rPl4net is right, it will not turn into a black hole. It is no where near or will ever be massive enough to do such. It will swell into its red giant phase and given its current projection, all that will remain is just a planetary nebula. It will just release its ionized gases and go quietly into the night, astronomically speaking.

As for time travel, it is difficult to see time as anything but linear, so until there is a breakthrough in our understanding, I will go with the notion that time travel towards the future is possible (relativistically) but not back in time.

Without a spaceship of some sort how will you get close enough to the blackhole without getting sucked in and ripped apart? That my friend is where technology come into play. spaceship=technology

    O_O

You just keep setting artificial and illogical limits.

    You need a spaceship(no you don't.)
You need to go into a blackhole in space(again, nope).
The blackhole would rip you apart(again, nope).

You are just putting limits that only exist at our current stage.

But he said he was going back to his time from this time!!!
Okay so tell me. How is it possible for him to travel back in time without his time machine? Since you're saying nothing is needed at our current state. You cannot bring back something that exists in the future if it hasn't already been made in the past. So, how did he got back without any of those things?

Why can't you bring something back from the future?(or time travel backwards).

You keep saying this in a matter of fact, but you haven't explained once why.
