I guess my main motivation to believe in a higher power (not necessarily God) Is for the love I had for those I've lost, and fear of the unknown, of being forgotten, of living such a small, insignificant space of time, and then an eternity of nothing. That is my most honest reason.

-When you believe you die and your gone forever.
-When you believe humanity was a "accidental" big bang.
-When you believe this all evolved from nothing, all the miracles we see now.
I'm faithful because, i believe theres a here after, were not just made then boom! gone? were not gods little experiment... theres always going to be a higher power, and the highest is God.
Nothing about atheism implies any of those things. You can't go from "there is no god" to "you die and your gone forever" or " humanity was a "accidental" big bang" or " all evolved from nothing, all the miracles we see now."
Much like not collecting stamps doesn't imply you hate baseball. You can't connect the two.

To be honest, I don't believe in the mainstream 'God', instead I believe something created the Universe, what was before the Big Bang? I believe in 100% in the Big Bang theory and evolution, but at the same time. I know SOMETHING was created or created us BEFORE all that happen.
It's even more miraculous to know we came from a simple reaction...
A lot of you don't realise how long the Universe has existed... look at us in the last 1000 years, how much we have evolved, from making things out of wood to talking to each other on computers across the world..
The Universe has been for around 13-14,000,000,000 years, and it evolved from nothing.
