-.- those who say we should give up on faith because it imposes principles, we could be helping the poor, and it doesn't really matter are the one's who aren't worth arguing with.

That's funny i don't recall saying give up faith, but rather live by your own principles and make your own choices rather then have everything played out for you.

That seem's to be a very ignorant statement, so tell me why are people who think we should spend time helping those less fortunate then us, rather then fighting over who's belief is right not worth arguing?

Or is it just because you cant argue with it?

It is simply a matter of seeing beyond yourself.

O.o are you helping the poor, right this minute? as you type?. think about that.

Religion doesn't have everything played out for you. I don't think you get that. Its not a set of rules like the government, if you see religion as that then its pointless to argue.

-.- the fact that most religions encourage helping the poor and so on is obvoiusly something you overlook, in fact i can guarantee you that most ppl who work in homeless shelters, who help the poor in a foreign country, have a religion.
    O.o whatchooo talkin about willis?

No, i am not sadly at the moment i have neither the power nor money or any means of doing so, and as much as it pains me to admit that i realize it fully.

Calling all Muslims (or anyone else who wishes) to debate about the religion of Islam.

Now, I'm not a racist towards Muslims. This is not racism.

This is not a debate about Islam. This is a debate about Muhammad. By the way, I'm a Christian.

Muhammad, who Muslims consider the "Seal of Prophets" and the greatest of all prophets, did not live a moral life as Muslims suggest. Here are some facts about his life:

    1) Muhammad: Had eleven wives at once.

    2) Muhammad: Murdered 600-900 innocent and unarmed people.

    3) Muhammad: Traded in slaves.

    4) Muhammad: Robbed Meccan caravans.

    5) Muhammad: Raped women.

    6) Muhammad: Tortured people.

    7) Muhammad: Kept concubines for sex.

    8) Muhammad: Beat his wife.

    9) Muhammad: Ordered the deaths of those who left Islam.

    10) Muhammad: Was a pedophile because he had sex with a 9 year old girl.

I have much more evidence to back up my claim about Islam, but I'm going to leave them out of this round.

Who We Are and What We (And God) Believe

Our Policy Against The Unsaved is Based on Scripture!
Click Here for Even More Details on This Godly and Anointed Policy

As most churches liberalize or modernicate themselves they in turn reject the commandments written by God in the Holy Bible. The Landover Baptist Church continues to do exactly what scripture teaches every Christian to do. And that is to keep the temple of the living God a clean vessel, untarnished by even a hint of fellowship with the unrighteous!

"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."
    ~ 2 John 1:9-11

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
    ~ 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

We pray that God sends his Holy Spirit upon this Christian Nation and opens up the hearts of other Bible believing Christians so that they will adopt the same Bible-based policy that has kept our church strong for nearly 217 Godly years. For a list of common-sense reasons for keeping unsaved people out of your church click here.

We do not read, eat, consume, digest, or 'try on' any product that is not made and manufactured by born-again, Bible believing, Fundamentalist Baptist Christians, and we would have you know that we condemn anyone that does, and pray as King David did, 'against them' for a quick end and a speedy journey to a very hot place, where they can spend out all eternity honoring our Lord and Maker in a literal lake of fire, Amen. Christianly Attire:

We believe that when a person first gets saved, the first thing they should do is buy a suit and a tie. If the individual is a female, then a dress not raised over an inch above the knee is acceptable. Clothing is perhaps the most important thing about being a Christian. If one is not properly clothed and fully representative of what God would want them to appear like... well then, that person is probably not saved. Our motto is "get saved, get to a Christian Clothing store, and get fitted for the kingdom." A man should dress and act like a man, and a woman should dress and act like a submissive female helpmate. That about sums it up. Anyone who does not conform to the dress code at Landover Baptist will be fined no less than $300.00 a violation. It is a privilege to be a Christian and we believe that it is about time folks started acting like it!

Goodness Gracious! Who Is In Charge of this Godly Baptist Church?

All authority at Landover Baptist (and surrounding properties) is granted to Pastor Deacon Fred Smith. This is in full accordance with Romans 13. If you are not familiar with Romans 13, well then we suggest you read it. A good ten or twelve readings of Leviticus wouldn't hurt either. Our pastor sometimes uses his godly authority to invoke the Lord's Law from the Bible in Leviticus. This is sometimes too much for some folks. If they refuse punishment, then they have the option of paying a $500.00 fine plus expenses accrued by the planning committee of Levitical Law Implementation. If you haven't cracked a Bible in a few years... then Landover is not for you.

Baptist Behavior 101 and Fines for Misconduct:

The following violations will result in a monetary fine of no less than $200.00 as to be determined by Church Pastors and Elders: Failure to show up at church on time, Failure to attend a church service without written permission from a pastor or other agreed upon authority, Church parking lot violations, Single males or females caught in the houses of members of the opposite sex without proper supervision, out after curfew, failure to tithe, failure to perform Christian Service obligations, Use of a church key without proper permission, Sleeping and/or horseplay during church services, reading of 'crime oriented' comic books, possession of alcohol outside of Post Communion Party regulations, idol worship, inappropriate dress in town or in church, dress related to 'counter-culture' movement, beards are not allowed except with special permission from Pastor Smith himself, long earrings on women, use of tampons is strictly prohibited, men with earrings or jewelry of any kind, hugging, possession of pornographic material (except for widowed or single men over the age of 65), failure to identify oneself to a church authority, failure to answer a call slip, witchcraft, dancing and/or skipping, association with Catholics, Presbyterians, Mormons, Methodists, Unitarians, Episkypols, or any other occult activity (unless under supervision by Dr. J. Edwards), failure to conform to rules and regulations, failure to submit to authority, the questioning of church authority is not tolerated and may result in dismissal, failure to bring at least one new guest to church a week, failure to win at least one soul a week, disrespect, lying, stealing, cheating, plotting, failure to have a demon-possessed infant sterilized, attendance at non-Christian owned picture houses, and rock music. General Rules are subject to change at any time without notice. Members are expected to find out what the new rules are within two hours. Let us note here, 'A Christian who is interested in doing their own thing, will not feel comfortable at Landover.. we would even go as far to question whether or not that individual is a Christian to begin with.

    1. Helping people isn't for bragging rights fool.
    2. I never said any action was not yours and yours alone.
    3. No one is talking about scapegoats, wtf. If your thinking ppl use it as a scapegoat, maybe. But thats not the point i made nor anyone else on this thread i believe.
    4. People have been killed over a lot less, doesn't make it right, but it makes you realize how fast you could be gone.

Dakguy: What you think of God doesn't have to be what God is. This is basic logic that can be applied to anything. I'm not saying christianity is the "true" religion, i'm merely stating my opinion.

God don't have kids? Says who?............again, what you think doesn't mean it has to be that.

This is exactly why I'm agnostic. I can agree completely with unnamed101. I was brought up in Catholic school grades Pre-k Through freshman year of highschool, and the whole time, it didn't even phase me. My household was "Catholic", but i was also brought up to make decisions for myself. I have lived by one rule, if it makes you happy, and doesn't hurt anyone, go for it. I'm not going to let the rules of some being that I can't see or feel no reprecussions from stop me. A child's mind is the greatest form of building materials we have. If they are subjected to complete devotion to a book that tells them if they don't follow its rules they will burn, they will most certainly follow it. Plain and simple: Religion is the oldest and most time proven form of mind control.

You would rather turn a blind eye and accept something that suits you then see reality.(that's not to say a religion is false or correct.)

    ignorance and escapism, how quaint.

You just nailed it right there, it was always a way to keep (and have) control over every one (possible), it's easy. This world, with every passing minute, gets more and more depressed. Economy is falling, more people become helpless and more people become colder and colder to the situation (until it hits them, how common this is ). So those who become helpless, wild hold to anything that helps them pass the hard times, wetter it be a friend (a group of friends) or a religious community (in this case, Islam, Christianity. Judaism or any other religion). Simple as that... Faith in ONE self, respect, loyalty and honesty is what this world is missing (and most of US don't care about this, as long as we live our life and have everything we need, even if it comes to stepping on some one just so you could have that "thing"). The North american market lives by only one rule "It's a dog eat dog world (aka Only the strong survive)"
