server doesnt use whitelist?
delete minecraft and redownload?
Server could've been whitelisted, or offline. Just keep trying other 24/7 servers..
If you have played MPGHCraft you need to remove what had to be entered in the Hosts.file in order to connect and play on the Minecraft premium servers, make sure you are using the Minecraft.exe from Minecraft.net and not a cracked client.
Make sure that the server you are trying to connect to is currently up or not and has a whitelist or not.

It's most likely because you've played MPGHCraft, which means your hosts file is all edited. Try asking someone who didn't edit it to post what to change at the end of your hosts file /gewd.
Also, did you make sure that your not running a cracked minecraft?
Oh yeah! I forgot to mention, I believe that Minecraft.net is currently down therefore you cannot connect to any Premium online servers...
