Renderings of my soul, falling like soft snow,
Putting them together with the thinnest of hope.
My mind is on decline, seeing only tomorrow not the past,
The cobwebs tangling the morality on every side.
Life has become mediocre, joys are left unspoken,
The changes I've seen, slowly bleeding from the forsaken.
Boredom and stress now decorates the landscape of my days,
Now all I ask is that you let me breathe.
So now hand and paper meet, trying once again to my heart feel,
Every word taken, but it seems like another second wasted.
The need for happiness is a dangerous goal,
Slippery, agile, everyday seems like I fall.
Now all I ask is to fly once more,
To again find good things no matter where from,
To see the sun shine, to smell the roses as I pass by,
Right now all I see is gray and demise,
So now the answers I seek, from out there or within,
But God I pray, just let me breathe...
