Just forget about it , just 1 guy isn't enough to make a game
A guy came up with a better game like a year ago or more , he didn't finish it so far .

The justice league of monkeys? idk lol
The angry monkey fighters?
You look like a troll
I'm likin it.
But I thought about The battle of the Apes, and I'm likin that name more now. Thinking of going with that suggestion of yours. Credits of course.
Must we refer back to the Original post here?
I think we shall.
Now to better explain what the game will be.
The game will be a 2d game, more-so like pokemon than anything else. But with a sense of FFXIII and LOZ:WW
It'll be similar to the game in my signature, but with graphics.
Now how bout explaining some past programming experiences?
I have already created a map loader for allegro, to load the maps. I have a movable player already. Going to implement bounding boxes for collision detection soon, and then work on making the main menu/beginning of the game.
My goal is realistic, and not overly ambitious. And I DON'T give up on projects after starting them. (Not giving up on PlayTheGame! ~ The console application either, when you go into a battle you'll notice you're fighting a "monkey" ^^)
Monkeys and Humans.
'nuff said
You can make stories wif it , but not a game .
It will take forever .
Name should be.
The attack of the BRs(brazilians)
Good idea , now watch @Alesandro rage .
"The Rape-Apes"
As said in the first post, this is a small game. Not a huge MMORPG with hundreds of maps.
It'll probably have 2-3 maps to start, and that's it.
Making this game is honestly not going to be difficult.
I write in a file the numbers to decide which bitmap to display. (eventually a map editor, but that'll be difficult to create.
I then load the numbers into an array called MapName[amount of numbers on the x axes][amount of numbers on the y axes]
Then I load bitmaps into an array called Tiles[amount of bitmaps]
So Tiles[1] would be what you would display wherever MapName[x][y] had '1'
I then use two for loops, as follows.
for (int i = 0; i < amount of numbers in x axes- 1; i++){
for (int j = 0; j < amount of numbers in y axes - 1; j++_{
blit(buffer,Tiles[MapName[i][j],etc,etc,etc,etc)
}
}
I then clear the background, load the tiles, load the players/enemies/objects on top of that.
I have a realistic view of things, and I'm not an idiot. This will be finished. I wouldn't say it will if it won't. So seeing as I say it will, it shall as if it will then it's impossible for it to not because it will.mmk?
Now I gotta go to work, so bai bai! :D
General game coding section plox ? =| .
Currently I have a player that can move around with collision detection.
Making interacting will be a little harder, but not impossible. Check to see iif the player is a certain distance away from the point of interaction and facing the point of interaction. Then check to see if space has been pressed, and if yes then display whichever screen must be displayed.
As I said before, I DO have realistic views, and WILL be able to complete this. I DO realize iit will take a while, but I plan on using my website to its fullest. Saving player's usernames/passwords online. Saving their data online, etc. Although, online interactions will come at a later point. In the very beginning, there won't be any option to save period.
