though anonymousperson is right, it is common sense, but where does the "get a life" part come in? i am in awe as to why they decided that there is nothing to be attributed from performing such a task.
besides banning and flaming those who outwardly deserve it foloowed with a ban, mods/gms/etc. must have good trats or at least develope them which can help in the longrun outside of this website.
for instance, people skills. being anything higher than a regular user, requires you to deal with people on a regular basis. people skills online, very much acts like that talking to someone face to face(depending on circumstances, like that of a person who has courage behind a keyboard rather than outside).
people skills also attributes to leadership roles, no further explanation for that.
also , skills in general, sinc ethis is a hacking website, many fledging hacks or those seeking the craft frequent and ask for help. this doesnt just apply to hacking alone, you have people in the graphics section that require help or suggestions on how to improve. this allows a mentoring system in a sort. which again leads to leadership roles.
i'm writing reasons on a peice of paper and have 58 more reasons as to how this can benefit anyone working for free on this site. consider it as free training in a sort. if you are not willing to put in, you get put out, i.e. some mods who are now users got the boot for either being inactive or were just not doing thier job.
so when you think about it, this is just a version of internship.........
a learning process if you will.
so there is life to it.
