    Fixing Shit

Alright guys it's been almost 2 years since I built my last rig with @Aborted helping me IMMENSELY I'm now getting into recording Minecraft and other games.

My part list is as follows:
    GPU: amd radeon HD 6670
    CPU: Amd fx-6300 black edition
    Mobo: Asus m5a97
PSU: some corsair power supply 500w
    My disk drive doesn't matter
    Case is some Antec one

But anyways, I can record games like crossfire and counterstrike: Global Offensive on medium-high settings with 100-200 fps with Bandicam or OBS. I run both games with 100-200 without recording(sometimes up to 300 if i put the setting a bit lower). Then comes Minecraft, I can run up to fucking 600 fps on it with optifine right? But as soon as i start recording it drops to 30... I've asked around and people say it's most likely my processor, so I'm thinking about upgrading my motherboard processor and PSU

    What I have in mind:

    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-GAMING LGA1150 mATX

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz LGA 1150 Boxed Processor

PSU: Solid Gear 750W Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply(this is only 30 bucks which kinda scares me because It's so cheap so suggestions on this also needed)

Please can you guys shed some light on this matter for me?
Also, I have 2 hard drives, which I was told is a good thing for recording because it doesn't use up space in the same hard drive you have the game set on, so I have one hard drive with nothing but the videos I make which go to the destination folder inside my secondary hard drive. But it still lags...

Instead of going for the expensive option of switching to Intel why not just get an 8350? Sure it'll loose a couple frames here and there to a core i5 but it'll stream games WAY better. I wouldn't drop 4-5bills to switch to another platform. That's a bad way to spend money.

Actually thinking about getting an intel i7 now because I'm going to make it a long term computer. So do you have any motherboards you'd suggest for me or should I use the one I have originally planned

If you're planning to switch platforms with the future in mind and you don't mind spending a bit for it then full respect.

As far as motherboards go I'd buy whichever motherboard fits my build or gives me what I need at a reasonable price. I wouldn't buy like a Z97 Sabertooth or Z97 Deluxe which runs about 400$ because at that point you might as well just get into the X99 platform.

The motherboard you picked has an M.2 Slot and a Sata Express too meaning that if you want to step up to an M.2 SSD or something you have that option in the future. As long as you stick to the Major Brands like EVGA/Gigabyte/MSI/ASUS you should be all set!

    WAIT FOR SKYLAKE
    WAIT FOR SKYLAKE

Upgrade then and only then, if you're planning on building a long-term PC.

SKYLAKE NIGGA. JUST AROUND THE CORNER, all the prices will drop, and X99 will be a lot cheaper.

What are your thoughts on the AMD FX 9590 Black edition?
It's around 300, but microcenter is having a sale where it's cut down to 219 dollars. Seems like a great deal? I'm saying this because I can get it literally tomorrow in store so a speedy reply would be really nice.

Either way, you wait a bit and prices will drop on what you're wanting to buy now.

The FX-9590 is just a cherry picked 8320/8350 that's been over-volted into oblivion and needs a nuclear power plant to power it and a really good cooling solution. If you plan to make utilization of all 8 cores then the 9590 is a great value for the money if you don't feel safe enough to overclock or just plain too lazy.

The only thing I'm going to say though is you better make sure that you're prepared to buy a QUALITY 990FX motherboard because 970 motherboards would get fried from the voltage going to the 9590. In a single core CPU heavy program you're gonna notice it's probably going to choke a bit because AMD can't compete with intel in the single core area. In multi threaded applications though you'll skyrocket.

I think I'll settle for the 8350 then. thank you so much for all your help in this matter
