Nah, I used to use AHK but I found it unreliable to raw inputs.
Try doing it without AHK or playing with the sleep time, that should help.

See the sleep 300? 300 = 300ms, or the time in milliseconds it will close the tab.

Just try to do the glitch Manually.
I'm not sure what the shortcut key for close-tab is in Mac, but yeah if you browse through the posts just close the tab as soon as you press merge.
Not too soon and not too late.

Open up a new tab after and you know what to do after.
