I thought I'd have a bit of fun with some ideas that have been bouncing around in my head.
God is omniscient, omnipotent, and wholly good.
So..
Evil does not exist.
But..
Evil does exist.
So..
Does god exist?
Is evil necessary for good to occur?
Can evil be justified?
You could also go ahead and view it as god giving us free will and it is our doing that bring evil into the world.
So is free will bad?
If free will is bad why would a wholly good being give it to us?
Is existence perfect?
Is god perfect?
Web definition of evil:
- morally objectionable behavior
- morally bad or wrong; "evil purposes"; "an evil influence"; "evil deeds"
- that which causes harm or destruction or misfortune; "the evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones"- Shakespeare
- having the nature of vice
- malefic: having or exerting a malignant influence; "malevolent stars"; "a malefic force"
- the quality of being morally wrong in principle or practice; "attempts to explain the origin of evil in the world"
What is really required in order to give humans freewill? Could we be predisposed to be good and still be free? Could we have perfect characters and still be free? Why did God create some of us with bad characters, i.e., with predispositions to do evil?

My views:
“We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell”
-Oscar Wilde
I thought I'd begin with this quote basically because it sums up all of my views on this. Our time on earth could possibly be viewed as a test. We are given free will to see how we truly are and how we respond to temptation. I am in no way a irrational person who does not consider that religion is flawed. I believe in science but I suppose I believe something is out there and was involved in our creation.
*might add more later.

For anybody who wishes to learn more about philosophy.
lol, religion thread.

hahah
god was created by man, through ignorance and fear
whoa shit we talked a lot about this at my fellowship camp
god gave man free will, he doesnt control what we do, this is where we come unstuck, the greatest sin is to not hold god as number 1 in ur life, all actions of evil come from turning away from god, every wrong descision we make doesnt hold god as number 1
to answer ur question
existence should/could be perfect, if everyone held god as number 1 and didnt sin, thats what existence was like in the beginning then adam and eve sinned
also is god perfect, yes he is he has never done anything sinful

I’m afraid of three things: Women, snakes, and the police. They all have the ability to hurt me and make it look like it was my fault.
Wow czar did you start taking acid this year? that's some deep shit
There is no god or there could be a god but which god? I believe in some external force but not a god as such..
Evil is just a part of human nature, if the world was full of good I think it would be more disturbing than it is today.
