How to use Xfire in MW2

Lets say for some reason you play MW2 with a nonsteam patch ( or for some reason xfire wont recognize your MP ) then use this info on how to active Xfire ingame,
First go here

C:/Program Files/Xfire/ then open the file xfire_games

then go to the very bottom,
paste this over the last entry which should be a [5993]

Then go to xfire->settings->games->not installed , navigate to MW2 MP, hit browse, find where its installed, hit ok , hit apply, and it will work ingame now.

I recently downloaded the latest version of XFire, unfortunately the file that Eyaz refers to is not in the XFire directory. Can't find it anywhere, anyone got an idea?

The file on Win 7 can be found in C:\Users\All Users\XFire.

And all without the really helpful "You could Google it" as recommended by mongy Reaper.

Don't you think that is my search engine anyway, or am I some ancient android computer user on Windows 1.0 DOS !!!

Because XFire doesn't support some games.

However, toobanooba just reminded me of something; XFire already works with MW2. I just tested it 2 days ago.

But it is that easy It detected MW2 and it showed up ingame. Period.
