Make sure you have your supplies ready:
Usually I take:
Backpack - 1 Binder with Paper / Sheet Protectors for: Syllabi, Agenda's, Materials,etc;
Pencils, Pens, Calculator, highlighter.

Eat a good breakfast
Have your clothes ready in case you over sleep
Don't over think things.
Luckily i didn't have to worry about sleeping on my first day because I was on a plane while most of my friends were sleeping happily. Made it to the first day of school though
