Buy one? / Personally I recommend you get something like the ul30vt, absolutely epic. CPU can do around 2GHz easy - press one button and restart, it does the OC automatically without any voltage changes aka battery life isn't drained any faster (well maybe you lose a bit, but not that much) and you also have 2 gfx cards (battery saving / gaming).

Oh and my su7300 on power saving (800 - 1200MHz) beats any atom on full power .

Looks pretty nice. The texture seems a little gimmicky and the trackpad is off center (poor design choice IMO). Sadly they chose to go with an i5 which is a battery sucker. And they are forced to have an IGP with that i5. They should have gone with a C2D and dedicated graphics. But that’s just me. At least they didn’t go for an i3 which has no added benefits over a C2D.

Edit: I see that they have no target for gamers and I guess the intel graphics will be alright. There is no optical disk drive.

All laptops have the touchpad aligned to the left a bit. And the i5 is the UM (new ULV, kinda), can't do shit about the gfx card without sacrificing battery life (now it runs for around 8 hours). I have my ul80vt / ul20jt with switchable gfx for mobility + gaming

I think it ought to be able to do 8 with 2x4GB ram, but I don't really need more for school

The logic board might be limited to recognizing 4 /. It is entirely possible that those specs only list what they allow you to configure it to. Many laptops are limited to recognizing 4 gigs. Some allow up to 8.
Both of my laptops (old and new) have centered trackpads.

Once you go chicklet you can never type on anything else.
