companies are in the for the money. They don't expect users to be playing games on the standard laptops, else they'd buy a laptop specifically with the power to do that.

you can play alot of games with a shitty gfx card.
just put the gfx to the lowest settings.
i have GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 video card. fails on alot of things.
but i have a AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30GHz
and alot of ram.
