u cannot start one alone unless its a modded map of training mode then u get unlimited ammo+godmode but u wont get GP or mask its just for fun.

Yes you can start a Fireteam alone. Technically, no you can't but there's a way around everything. You and 3 other people start a DT/DF/BL/CF. Those other 3 people leave as soon as they join in. That's how you solo FT.
Also, you can only kick as an Elite with 4 people minimum in the room.
